Insurance Company Roof Inspections

We've seen a significant increase in requests for roof washing due to periodic inspections from homeowners insurance carriers. Several customers have reported that they received a letter from their carrier, threatening to discontinue coverage if the organic growth is not removed. Moss, lichen and gloeocapsa magma are different types of organic growth that will attach to roof shingles and shorten the lifespan of the roof. If left untreated, roof leaks will occur, causing water damage to the interior of the home or business.
